The Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo: A Day Among the Animals

For almost a century, the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum, and Zoo has been entertaining and educating visitors with exhibits that showcase the rich variety of flora and fauna of Bermuda and many other vibrant ecosystems from around the world. The main attraction of the aquarium, which houses more than 200 fish species, is the life-size replica of North Rock, an impressive part of the Rim Reef system, and the attendant creatures that call the reef home. The Natural History Museum offers keen insight into the seismic processes that shaped the island and into subsequent ecological change on Bermuda across millennia. There’s an aviary devoted to the quirky and colorful birds of South America and another exhibit dedicated to the many land and sea animals of Australia and Southeast Asia. But our absolute favorite animal display has to be the gentle sea turtles and playful harbor seals located just outside the main entrance.

Address: 40 N Shore Rd, Bermuda
