Helen, Spa Manager and Beauty Therapist
Helen has worked in the Spa industry for 11 years since graduating from College and is very pleased to be working with Elemis products. She believes that La Serena is the most beautiful place to work it is very tranquil and incredibly beautiful.
Helen loves to provide all treatments and they all come from her heart, not her hands. She loves Elemis as a brand and her bathroom is full of its products!
Dee, receptionist
Dee has been booking our treatments since the launch of our new facilities, having had a background in bookings and reservations in Bermuda. She has lived here for twelve years and is married to a Bermudian.
She really loves the environment of the spa, all the people visiting and our regular clientele. She has enjoyed all the training with the elemis product that happens to come from her home town – London, UK.
Karen, massage therapist
Karen is a Filipina that has been practicing alternative therapy for 7 years. She considers her hands as one of her greatest gifts because she loves to give her clients not just relaxation but some healing as well. She brought Shiatsu massage and the Warm Bamboo massage to La Serena.
Karen loves giving Deep Tissue massage since she is a licensed physical therapist and has a background in sports therapy. Her favorite treatment is the Instant Refreshing Gel which she calls "miracle gel." It is so well rounded you can use it for anything – headaches, pain, even on inflamed joints.
Serena, massage therapist
Serena comes to us all the way from Thailand so it’s no surprise that she gives an amazing Thai Massage. This kind of massage involves a great deal of stretching and leaves you feeling loose and revitalized.
Serena's favorite treatment is the Relaxation massage because it has a rhythmic, soothing and indulging sensation which leaves you feeling relaxed, calm and peaceful. Her favorite product is the Aching Bath Soak which is an aromatherapeutic remedy that has a deep heat effect on the body. Great for a hot tub after a long day at work or a grueling session at the gym!
Fiona, massage therapist
Fiona is a Bermudian with over 19 years experience as a Holistic Therapist. She trained in Wales and England in Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Swedish and Sports massage, Thermo-auricular therapy, Reiki and La Stone Therapy. She ran her own practice in Portsmouth working with both physiotherapists and chiropractors.
She is passionate about her work and what she enjoys most is seeing the benefits her clients gain from these treatments and how this improves their work-life balance.
Fiona's favorite treatments are the Reflexology and Hot Lava stone Therapy and favorite Elemis product is the Japanese camellia oil. This nourishing massage oil can be safely used during pregnancy and is great for aching feet, legs and back.
Greg, massage therapist
“Massage is not only my job but also my passion and hobby.” Polish masseur Greg joined La Serena Spa in July. Having studied massage therapy since 1997, he brings with him years of training and certifications in Sports & Remedial Massage, BTEC Level 5, Myofascial Release Technique, Deep Tissue and Reflexology, Reiki, Soft Manual Massage, and Orthobionomy.
As the only male therapist among the ladies of La Serena, Greg offers a different, individual approach.
Ana, manicurist/pedicurist
Ana is famous on the island as the winner for the best manicurist and pedicurist in Bermuda by Bermudian Magazine for two consecutive years in a row – 2009 and 2010! She encourages you to compare your hands and feet before and after your treatment. There are always positive results!
Ana's favorite product is the Frangipani Oil since it has so many uses. It’s great for moisturizing hands and feet but you can also use it to deeply condition your hair and as a gorgeous massage oil.
Annelize, beauty therapist
Annelize performs all of our massages, facials, waxing and nail treatments, but her favorite is the Pro-Collagen facial with the wonderful results it delivers after just one treatment.
She has worked as Assistant Spa Manager on a cruise ship and owned a spa in her home country of South Africa.
Her favorite Elemis product is the Pro-Collagen Marine Cream. It jump-starts your skin cells to produce their own moisture again and Skin Bliss Capsules, which are powerful and detoxifying for maximum absorption transforms skin in one month!
Samantha, beauty therapist
Sam joined our team all the way from Wales in the UK. She has recently graduated from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition in New York and is now certified as a Holistic Health Coach. Samantha continues to explore her passion through Holistic Therapies and Intuitive healing, and is a certified Reiki master.
Her favorite product is the Skin Nourishing Milk Bath. It is an incredible versatile product with hydrating benefits of Camellia and Jojoba oil. You can use it in your bath, as a body moisturizer and intensive nourishing scalp treatment.
Natalie, beauty therapist
Natalie has been in the spa industry for over 18 years and owned one of the first Elemis salons in the UK. Since joining the La Serena team in May 2011, Natalie loves working with Elemis again and sharing her knowledge and experience with locals and hotel guests.
Her experience with Elemis naturally makes her favorable to all of the products, but she loves how the Pro-collagen products deliver effective results everytime.
Alet, beauty therapist
Alet is well trained, experienced and qualified and can perform all of the treatments we offer here at La Serena. She has a passion for treatments that make you look better as well as feel better and excels in facials and Anti-cellulite treatments.
Her favorite thing about working as a therapist at La Serena Spa is the serenity, the beautiful facilities and the view.
Leanne, beauty therapist
Born in Zimbabwe, Leanne has been a beauty therapist for 11 years and been part of La Serena's team since 2010. She obtained the certifications CEDISCO, ITEC & Eve Taylor Aromatherapy from Sylvana Acadamy of Beauty Allied Skills.
Her favorite part about working as a therapist at La Serena Spa is how she is able to use her knowledge and experience in new ways every day. She is a firm believer in Elemis products and has seen the results in many clients.
